Hand Picked Hotels is a privately owned boutique hospitality group featuring 21 luxury country house hotels and coastal retreats across the UK and Channel Islands.

Each property is architecturally distinctive, blending heritage charm with modern comforts in scenic settings—from woodlands and countryside to beachfront locales.

The collection is known for award-winning dining using locally sourced ingredients and its own Villa Saletta wines produced at its Tuscan vineyard.

The group also offers spa facilities in many of its hotels, corporate event services, wellness retreats, and bespoke experiences.

Founded (“Since”): Established in 2001 when Julia and Guy Hands acquired a portfolio from Virgin Group, where Julia Hands remains with close involvement in ownership and vision.

Leadership: Julia Hands MBE is founder and Chairman. CEO Ignace Bauwens, previously with Corinthia Hotels, leads operations since around late 2023–2024.
