This role is perfect for a chef who is not only passionate about cooking but also loves engaging with people. You will lead a small team to develop and prepare nutritional, seasonal menus that align with Jewish cultural practices while ensuring exceptional customer service and operational efficiency. The role will involve 80% Cooking and 20% operational management. This post is working 5 days out of 7 and some weekends on a rota basis. Shifts are:6.00am to 2.30pm or 11.00am to 7.30pm What you will be doing: Culinary Management: Preparing, cooking, and present high-quality meals tailored to residents&#8217; dietary needs. Developing and managing menus using the Indicator Menu &amp; Recipe Management System. Ensuring strict compliance with food safety and hygiene standards. Client-Facing and Customer Service: Engaging with residents and families to understand and cater to dietary preferences and requirements. Maintaining high levels of customer service, ensuring resident satisfaction. Addressing any concerns or complaints promptly and professionally. Operational Management: Overseeing day-to-day catering operations, ensuring smooth service delivery. Managing the EPOS system for accurate billing and inventory tracking. Implement and manage the Future Workforce Management System for optimal staff scheduling. Managing stock control, including ordering supplies, maintaining inventory, and reducing wastage. Ensuring efficient processing and management of invoices. Team Leadership: Leading, mentoring, and motivating the catering team, fostering a positive working environment. Developing staff rotas to ensure adequate coverage and efficient operation. Providing ongoing training and development opportunities for team members. Financial Management: Monitoring and managing the catering budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and financial efficiency. Conducting regular financial reporting and analysis to track performance against budget. Accountable for maintaining food standards, meeting Health &amp; Safety Regulations, handling finances and managing/developing a team with effective communication. This post is for a Relief/ Bank Chef de Partie working on an as and when required basis, to cover absence when needed. What you will be doing: Supporting the Head Chef and Sous Chef to manage and deliver all catering services across the organisation, ensuring residents liberty, dignity and safety are maintained. Ensuring all food hygiene and Health &amp; Safety practices are monitored and standards are met and recorded in line with organisational policies and current legislation Overseeing all food production is to the agreed standard Developing innovative approaches towards presentation of dishes, menu planning and procedures that will optimize the cooking process Reviewing and executing the menu on a regular basis, acknowledging seasonal changes in supplies, market trends and cultural requirements Meeting the special needs and dietary requirements of residents and demonstrating awareness of cultural and religious preferences. <p>We are now looking for a talented and passionate Chef to join our friendly team on a full-time, permanent basis. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring our residents enjoy high-quality, nutritious and comforting meals every day. There will be times when you are the sole Chef on shift, taking full responsibility for the kitchen.</p>

You will take ownership of the kitchen when working independently, ensuring meals are delivered on time, to a high standard, and in compliance with food hygiene and health and safety regulations. You will also maintain accurate food safety logs, stock rotation records and assist in the management of kitchen supplies.</p>

<li>City &amp; Guilds 706/1 &amp; 706/2 or equivalent qualification</li>
<li>Basic Food Hygiene Certificate (or equivalent)</li>

<li>Strong communication and teamwork skills</li>

<p>What your responsibilities will be&#8230;</p>

<p>You&#39;ll take on a full-time role in the kitchen under the supervision of passionate chefs alongside your training. Not only do you gain a Level 2 Production Chef Apprenticeship, you will be able to support the running of our kitchens, creating some amazing moments making sure that quality never slips for our guests!</p>
<p>What your Chef Apprenticeship includes&#8230;</p>

<li>A mixture of face to face and skype/phone catch ups every 4 &#8211; 6 weeks</li>
<li>A mixture of on and off the job training, including workshops and webinars</li>

<p>Your key responsibilities will include:</p>

<li>Preparing delicious, high-quality food that delights our clients and customers</li>
<li>Overseeing and implementing menu changes</li>

<li>Be passionate about great-tasting food and exceptional customer service</li>
<li>Hold a City &amp; Guilds 706/1 &amp; 2 or NVQ equivalent</li>
<li>Have experience supervising a team</li>
<li>Have experience in a similar Chef role</li>
<li>Hold a Food Hygiene certificate</li>
