37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday 7:00am to 3:00pm £14.79 per hour + Sodexo employeebenefits package Opportunities for career development Bakery Chef Royston We are currently seeking a Baking Chef to join our team supporting our corporate client in Royston.This role is primarily focused on producing high-quality, homemade baked goods and desserts for daily service.From comforting crumbles to classic sponges and traditional traybakes, you’ll play a key part in delivering fresh, simple, and delicious home baking each day. You’ll also provide ad hoc support to the wider kitchen team as required.

What you’ll do:

• Prepare and bake a variety of homemade desserts and sweet treats, including crumbles, sponge cakes, traybakes, and other traditional bakes
• Ensure all items are produced to a consistent, high standard of quality and presentation
• Follow recipes and portion controls accurately
• Maintain excellent food safety, allergen awareness, and hygiene standards at all times
• Keep baking areas, equipment, and storage clean, organised, and safe
• Support the wider kitchen team with general food preparation and service when required
• Assist with stock rotation and ingredient ordering where needed

What you’ll bring:

• Experience in baking or pastry preparation within a professional kitchen or similar environment
• A passion for traditional, home-style baking
• Good knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
• Ability to work efficiently and calmly in a busy kitchen
