- Assist the Senior Chef in managing all aspects of the retail kitchen, including food preparation, production, and presentation and service
- Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop and update menus that align with customer preferences, seasonal availability, and company standards and shift needs
- Supervise and provide guidance to the kitchen team including front of house operatives ensuring their adherence to recipes, portion control, and food safety guidelines.
- Train and mentor new kitchen team members, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Maintain inventory levels and conduct regular stock assessments to ensure the availability of necessary ingredients, supplies, and equipment.
- Monitor and control food costs, wastage, and kitchen expenses, implementing strategies for cost reduction without compromising quality.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as sanitation standards, throughout the kitchen area.
- Uphold exceptional food quality by conducting regular quality checks and participating in taste-testing sessions.
- Collaborate with the front-of-house staff to provide exceptional customer service, address customer inquiries, and handle special dietary requests.
- Actively participate in the development and implementation of new recipes, menu items, and promotions to enhance customer satisfaction and attract new business.
- Stay updated on industry trends, culinary techniques, and emerging ingredients to continually enhance the retail kitchen’s offerings.
- Assist in administrative tasks, such as scheduling, budgeting, and reporting, as required.
- Work closely with the FOH team member and ensure service times are protected.
- Shift Pattern: 8am till 4pm
- 37.5 hr per week any 5 over 7
- 20 days holiday
- Bank holidays lieu if worked
