- The Person:
- Previous experience in a similar role
- A passion for food and a willingness to learn
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Good understanding of kitchen safety and hygiene practices
- Enjoys working as part of a team and independently
- Ability to work morning, afternoon/evening, and weekends
The Role:
- Prepare and cook dishes to the highest standards of taste and presentation
- Support the Chef de Partie in daily kitchen operations
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation within your section and ensure no cross contamination
- Ensure compliance with food hygiene and health & safety standards
- Contribute ideas to menu development and daily specials
- Assist in training and mentoring junior kitchen staff
- Contribute to controlling costs, improving gross profit margins, and other departmental and financial targets
