Job Description As a Wok Chef at Din Tai Fung UK, you will play a crucial role in supporting our back kitchen team and ensuring smooth service. Your main responsibilities will include:

• Prepare, cook, and serve high-quality wok dishes, noodle dishes, and appetisers

Operate your chef station with precision and attention to detail Maintain high standards of food hygiene, stock rotation, and kitchen cleanliness

• Train and support junior kitchen team members
• Work collaboratively with a team of passionate chefs during busy services
• Ensure consistency, portion control, and fast service in a high-volume kitchen

Who You Are We are looking for a Wok Chef who is enthusiastic, hardworking, and thrives in a dynamic and busy environment. Ideally, you will have:

Previous experience in a Chef de Partie, Wok Chef, Noodle Chef, or Commis Chef role Worked in an Asian kitchen, Taiwanese restaurant, Chinese restaurant, or other pan-Asian cuisine Understand traditional Chinese cooking techniques (wok hei, noodle pulling, etc.)

• Have strong knife skills, excellent prep technique, and kitchen discipline

Competitive Pay: Hourly rates (including troncs) start at £15, rising to £16~£20 once qualified Working Week: 5 days per week on a rota basis throughout Monday to Sunday; night shifts may run as late as 10:30 PM Contracted Hours: 40~48 hours per week Location: Hiring for Central London (Covent Garden, Centre Point, Selfridges and Canary Wharf)
