Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and cooking, with a strong understanding of food safety and kitchen operations. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in the preparation and presentation of meals, ensuring that every dish meets our high standards of quality and taste.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner to meet service demands.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including workstations and equipment.
- Adhere to food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times.
- Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping, marinating, and portioning as required.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation during service periods.
- Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management as needed.
- Help train new kitchen staff in food preparation techniques and safety practices. Requirements
- Proven experience as a cook in a restaurant or similar environment is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and culinary techniques.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and work as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
