Our menus celebrate classic garden centre favourites with a modern, refined approach. We are now seeking a passionate and driven Chef de Partie to join our kitchen team. This role is ideal for a chef who thrives on organisation, consistency, and delivering high standards during busy service periods. **The Role** As Chef de Partie, you will play a key role in the day-to-day running of the kitchen, taking ownership of your section and ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality dishes across breakfast, lunch, and deli-style service. Working closely with the Head Chef and Sous Chef, you will help maintain standards, support junior team members, and contribute to a professional and efficient kitchen environment. **Key Responsibilities** * Prepare, cook, and present dishes across your section to a consistently high standard * Take full ownership of your section, ensuring smooth and efficient service at all times * Maintain excellent food quality, presentation, and portion control * Assist with menu development and contribute ideas for seasonal dishes and specials * Ensure compliance with all food safety, hygiene, and allergen regulations * Monitor stock levels, support ordering processes, and minimise waste * Support, guide, and help develop junior kitchen staff * Maintain a clean, organised, and well-structured working environment * Work closely with front-of-house teams to ensure seamless service * Perform effectively under pressure during busy service periods * Follow all health and safety procedures and company policies **Requirements / Person Specification** * Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or strong experience at a similar level in a high-volume kitchen * Solid understanding of fresh food preparation across breakfast and lunch service * Ability to manage a section independently and efficiently * Strong organisational skills and attention to detail * A genuine passion for food quality and consistency * Good working knowledge of food hygiene, allergens, and HACCP procedures * A positive team player with strong communication skills * Flexible approach to working hours, including weekends and peak trading times * Reliable, punctual, and professional at all times **What We Offer** * Competitive salary based on experience * Daytime-focused hours supporting work-life balance * A supportive and structured kitchen environment * Opportunities for development and progression * Staff discounts within the garden centre * The opportunity to be part of a well-established and respected operation If you are a committed and capable chef looking to take ownership of your section and deliver quality food in a busy, professional kitchen, we would love to hear from you.
