Commis Chef

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing ingredients and cooking dishes according to specified recipes and standards
• Support the food production process, ensuring timely and efficient service during busy periods
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, adhering strictly to food safety regulations
• Contribute to the presentation of dishes, ensuring they meet quality standards before serving
• Assist with inventory management, including stock rotation and storage organisation
• Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations
• Follow all health and safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment Skills
• Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a similar role within a professional kitchen or hospitality setting
• Strong knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently under pressure
• Leadership qualities with experience supervising or managing team members preferred
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment, demonstrating good communication skills
• Familiarity with food production processes and restaurant operations
• Previous experience in restaurant or catering environments is advantageous

• Pay: £12.21-£15.91 per hour
