- Head Chef: The Red Barn, Northamptonshire
- Start date: Spring 2026
- Salary: Range between £ 35 000- £40000 per annum dependant on experience
5 days a week with occasional evening events if desired We are a small farm shop and Café/ Restaurant, focusing on using local and home-reared produce to create regularly changing small plate menus. Having been open nearly a year, we are now looking for a head chef to lead our small kitchen team.
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a young and evolving business with the chance to shape menus, use meat from our own farm and be closely involved with the progression of the café.
We currently operate Wednesday- Sunday, breakfast and lunch with occasional evening events.
The Role
- Lead and develop a small, close-knit kitchen team
- Create seasonal, produce-led menus
- Manage kitchen operations, stock, food costs, ordering and food safety
- Maintain high standards across food, service, and kitchen organisation
- What We’re Looking For
- Head Chef experience or a strong Senior Sous
- A genuine love of seasonal, produce-led cooking
- Calm, organised, and encouraging leadership style
- Comfortable in a rural setting and a growing business
