Head Chef

Job Summary We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our culinary team. Duties

• Lead and supervise the kitchen team, fostering a collaborative and efficient working environment
• Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to ensure consistency and excellence in every dish
• Manage food production, including planning menus, sourcing ingredients, and controlling costs
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of hygiene across the kitchen
• Organise staff schedules, delegate tasks effectively, and monitor performance to optimise productivity
• Develop new recipes and menu items in line with current culinary trends and customer preferences
• Train and mentor junior kitchen staff to enhance their skills and professional development
• Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service delivery
• Maintain inventory levels, order supplies, and manage stock control efficiently Experience
• Proven supervising experience within a busy restaurant or hospitality environment
• Extensive background in food production, food preparation, and cooking techniques
• Strong team management skills with the ability to motivate staff and foster teamwork
• Solid understanding of food safety standards and regulations
• Previous experience in restaurant or culinary settings with a focus on high-quality service
• Knowledge of hospitality operations including serving procedures is advantageous
• Demonstrated leadership qualities with excellent organisational skills
