Head Chef

Hours: 30 hours per week, to include weekends. Weekend availability is non-negotiable for this role.

• Monday: 9.30am-3:30pm
• TUESDAY/WEDNESDAY – OFF
• Thursday: 9.30am-3:30pm
• Friday: 9.30am-3:30pm
• Saturday: 9.30am-3:30pm

Sunday: 9.30am-3:30pm Start Date: ASAP – this role is not seasonal and provides a permanent, year-round opportunity, with scope for growth, for the right candidate.

The Role:

Ahead of the summer, we are looking for a Chef to join us at our small but busy café in Tehidy Woods, Camborne.

As our Cafe Chef, you’ll be responsible for preparing our simple but delicious menu of breakfast ciabattas, granola bowls, waffle stacks, sandwiches, soups and toasties in a fast-paced environment.

Time management, the ability to manage your own workload and a strong attention to detail are essential skills you’ll need for this role.

You’ll be monitoring and managing kitchen stock levels, placing orders when required and working closely with senior management to keep the kitchen running smoothly at all times.

As part of this, you’ll be responsible for maintaining our high standards of Food Hygiene and Safety at all times. A Level 2 qualification in Food Hygiene is advantageous but this will be provided as part of your induction if required.

This is a great role for someone with kitchen experience who wants a better work-life balance (no evening work required!), while still being part of something exciting and local.

• A L2 Food Hygiene qualification (not essential – we can provide this)
• Previous experience working in a busy kitchen environment
• Confident with prep, cooking, and plating during service
• A calm, clear communicator who can support and guide others
• Someone who takes pride in their work and leads by example
