Head Chef – Birmingham
Monday – Friday role!
£30,000 per annum
We are currently recruiting an experienced Head Chef to lead our kitchen operation in Birmingham. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate and organised chef looking for a great work–life balance in a Monday–Friday role.Key Responsibilities
–
Planning and production of all menus in line with Compass requirements
–
Full responsibility for allergen safety and staff training
–
Use of Compass ordering and menu systems
–
Ownership and completion of the Food Safety Log Book
–
Completion of all daily food production and wastage sheets
–
Delivery checks, stock storage, and correct stock rotation
–
Regular stock taking
–
Maintaining high standards of cleanliness in line with the cleaning schedule, including role-specific equipment
–
Working closely with the Unit Manager to ensure full compliance with Food Safety and Health & Safety requirementsAbout You
–
Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Head Chef or in a similar senior kitchen role
–
Strong communication and organisational skills
–
Skilled across all areas of food production, including pastry and baking
–
Computer literate with experience using ordering and menu systems
–
Quality-focused with excellent attention to detail
–
Creative, consistent, and calm under pressure
–
Able to deliver high standards of food consistentlyAdditional Information
–
A trade test will be required as part of the recruitment process
