Round Corner Pizza was founded under the guidance of Marco Fuso, one of the world’s foremost pizza chefs. We make our doughs and pizzas from raw natural ingredients and our Neapolitan style pizzas cooked in our high spec pizza container kitchen are adored by visitors to our multi award winning brewery. RCB Pizza has a 5 star hygiene rating and a legion of dedicated followers built up since our first pizza was served in May 2021.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about food (and ideally beer), hospitality and ensuring customers love them and their product. Our objective is to run a friendly venue that people want to come back to again and again.
Round Corner Pizza currently operates on Friday and Saturday evenings, with some prep work needed on Wednesday and Thursday evenings. There is scope to expand these service hours, based on demand. There may also be the occasional private event on other days, but providing pizzas for these will be agreed on with the Pizza Chef in advance.
This is a part time role and could be suited to someone working another job during weekday hours.
Candidates will be expected to bring existing chef and pizza-making experience and know how to execute with consistency: making, proving, storing, stretching, rolling, topping and cooking dough, use of a traditional Italian pizza oven and excellent customer service.
The pizza chef will often interact with customers in an open kitchen environment and so a great customer manner is important, as is the ability to cooly handle occasional peaks in volume and customer feedback. The successful candidate will help to create the menu and shape the future direction of RCB Pizza.
As the new Pizza Chef, you will report to the Taproom Manager and be responsible for maintaining the standards of the pizzas and the pizza kitchen. You will work with the Taproom Manager to ensure stock management, hygiene, cleaning and food output are all up to standard.
Initially working for 1 hour on a Wednesday evening, 1 hour on a Thursday evening (both dough-making), then Friday evenings and Saturday evenings (around the service hours of 5-8).
