Head Chef Wanted – Asian Fusion Cuisine We are looking for an experienced, driven, and highly creative Head Chef to take full ownership of our kitchen and lead the development of a vibrant Asian fusion menu . This role is perfect for a chef who is passionate about combining bold, authentic Asian flavours with modern techniques to create exciting, memorable dishes.

As Head Chef, you will play a key role in shaping the identity of our food offering, bringing fresh ideas, seasonal ingredients, and innovative presentation to the table. You’ll be responsible not only for maintaining exceptional food standards, but also for inspiring and leading a strong, motivated kitchen team.

• Pay: £15-£17.5 per hour (Dependent on skill)
• Location: St. Helens, Merseyside

About the Role:

You will oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, from menu creation to daily service. We are looking for someone who can confidently blend influences from cuisines such as Japanese, Thai, Korean, Chinese, and Southeast Asian styles into a cohesive fusion concept. You should be comfortable experimenting with flavours while maintaining consistency and quality across every dish.

This is a hands-on role requiring strong leadership, organisation, and a genuine love for cooking. You will be expected to stay on top of current food trends, introduce new dishes regularly, and ensure the kitchen runs efficiently during both busy and quieter periods.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead day-to-day kitchen operations with a proactive and positive attitude
• Create and evolve a unique Asian fusion menu with seasonal updates
• Ensure all dishes meet high standards of taste, presentation, and consistency
• Manage and train kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative team environment
• Maintain strict food hygiene and health & safety standards
• Control stock, minimise waste, and manage kitchen costs effectively
• Work closely with management to develop new ideas and improve service Requirements:
• Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef ready to step up
• Strong background in Asian cuisine with a passion for fusion cooking
• Creative mindset with attention to detail
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen
