The Tandoori Chef is responsible for preparing a variety of tandoori dishes, including breads, meats, and kebabs, using traditional clay ovens (tandoors). This role requires skill in marinating, skewering, and operating the tandoor oven to produce authentic flavours and textures. On occasion you may be required to act as Head Chef.
* Prepare tandoori items including naans, roti, chapati, puree, paratha, kulcha, tandoori chicken, kebabs, and paneer dishes.
* Marinate meats and vegetables in authentic Indian spices and yogurt-based sauces.
* Operate and maintain clay tandoor ovens safely and efficiently.
* Ensure dishes are cooked to the proper temperature, texture, and taste.
* Manage preparation timing during busy service periods.
* Clean and maintain the tandoor area and tools regularly.
