Head Chef

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. As a Chef, you will play a crucial role in supporting the culinary operations by assisting in food preparation and ensuring that the BCS kitchens runs smoothly. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about food production and hospitality, and who wish to develop their culinary skills in a fast-paced environment. While keeping a healthy work life balance with day time shifts. The job will involve being able to travel to multiply sites within the City, all within the city centre.

Duties

• Assist in the preparation of ingredients and dishes according to established recipes and standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Support senior chefs by following instructions and completing assigned tasks efficiently.
• Help with the presentation of dishes, ensuring they meet the restaurant’s quality standards.
• Participate in stock management, including receiving deliveries and storing food items appropriately.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy periods.
• Demonstrate leadership qualities by mentoring new staff members as required. Experience
• Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred but not essential; a willingness to learn is key.
• Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment is advantageous.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a high-pressure environment.
• A passion for culinary arts and a desire to develop within the kitchen hierarchy.
