Perfect for someone with an interest in the outdoors as perfectly located on the shores of Lake Windermere with immediate access to all the Lake District has to offer Job Description Seasonal position at YMCA Lakeside providing breakfast, lunch and dinner for staff and residents who attend the site. Looking for an April start date with full time employment guaranteed until the end of October with possibility of extending for the right individual.

Live in available and can be discussed at interview stage.

Main responsibilities would include but not be limited to the following:

• Dishwashing – Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment either by hand or using industrial dishwashers
• Kitchen and Dining Room Cleanliness – Clean and sanitise kitchen surfaces, countertops, and food preparation areas. Empty rubbish bins and ensure proper disposal of waste materials
• Food Preparation – Assist chefs and cooks with basic food preparation tasks, such as peeling, chopping, and slicing ingredients
• Inventory Management – Assist in receiving, storing, and organising kitchen supplies and ingredients
• Compliance with Health and safety – maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen ensuring equipment is in good working order
• Assist with Breakfast – On occasion assist with Breakfast shift
• Qualifications
• No formal education is required
• Physical stamina and the ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects
• Good attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions
• Basic knowledge of kitchen equipment and sanitation practices is a plus
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
