We are looking for an Assistant Cook to work alongside our Nursery Chef in providing nutritious, wholesome meals for our children.
Key Responsibilities
– Assist in preparing and cooking healthy meals and snacks
– Support weekly menu planning and special dietary requirements
– Maintain high standards of kitchen hygiene and food safety
– Monitor temperatures, stock rotation, and food storage
– Deliver meals safely to nursery rooms
– Provide cover for the Chef when required
Requirements:
– Previous kitchen experience (early years or catering desirable)
– Food Hygiene Level 2 (Level 3 preferred); training can be completed on employment
– Understanding of allergies and children’s dietary needs
– Positive attitude and strong team work ethic
– Organised and committed to cleanliness and safety
