Applicants must have a passion for food and be fully familiar with catering within the Care Home environment.

The position is based in Shenstone for a quality care home You would be supporting friendly talented teams with a supportive family like attitude.

This position demands a chef with talent that is totally comfortable with cooking fresh food from scratch Preference will be given to applicants that can demonstrate the following skills and attributes.

A secure understanding of dietary and nutritional requirements.

You will also have your Intermediate/Advanced Food Hygiene certificate, and a full understanding of IDDSI.

Additionally, you will have experience in budgeting, writing and planning menus.

You will possess excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.

Ability to prepare fresh soups from fresh ingredients.

Ability to prepare desserts from scratch.

Ability to bake cakes and decorate Birthday cakes.

Own transport essential. Milage paid from Shenstone Not afraid of rolling sleeves up and helping general assistants.

(Prima Donnas don’t stay with us) DBS Disclosure will be required.
