Responsibilities

• Assist the Head Chef in preparing and delivering a diverse range of dishes, maintaining high standards of quality and presentation.
• Supervise and manage kitchen staff, including training, scheduling, and performance monitoring to ensure efficient operation.
• Oversee food production processes, ensuring consistency, freshness, and adherence to recipes and portion sizes.
• Maintain strict compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards across all kitchen activities.
• Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service delivery and customer satisfaction.
• Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and minimise waste to optimise kitchen efficiency.
• Support in menu planning and development based on seasonal ingredients and current culinary trends.
• Ensure all kitchen equipment is well-maintained and functioning correctly, reporting any issues promptly. Qualifications
• Proven experience in a supervisory role within a professional kitchen environment.
• Extensive background in food preparation, cooking, and food production techniques.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team effectively.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices within hospitality settings.
• Previous experience working in restaurants or similar hospitality establishments is highly desirable.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy service times.
• Good communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and front-of-house staff.
