We are currently recruiting for a Sous Chef to join our team in London.
Location: London, SW198UH
Salary: £42,000 – £45,000 per annum – depending on experience
Working Pattern: 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday (06:00 – 14:30) with the odd weekend cover shift on rotation amongst the team
Key Responsibilities:
– Support the Head Chef in the day-to-day running of the kitchen
– Large-volume catering for global daily menus across London workplace contracts (around 2,500 meals per day)
– Lead shifts and guide a team of 6–8 chefs, including CDPs and junior kitchen staff
– Report to the Head Chef
– Identify opportunities to improve food service
– Create a positive kitchen environment where the team feels welcomed and supported
– Ensure strong food safety and sanitation standards
– Maintain excellent cooking skills with attention to detail and presentation
– Work efficiently under pressure and manage multiple tasks
– Demonstrate exceptional leadership and communication skills
– Passion for using high-quality ingredients and preserving authentic culinary traditionsWhat We’re Looking For:
– Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role in a high-quality culinary environment, preferably in large-scale catering or high-volume service
– Background in contract catering or large hotels is ideal
– Experience working with fresh food in a volume environment
– Strong organisational and leadership skills
