Sous Chef

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. Duties

• Assist the Head Chef in planning and developing menus that meet quality standards and customer preferences
• Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff to ensure efficient food preparation and service
• Oversee food production processes, ensuring consistency, presentation, and adherence to recipes
• Lead food preparation activities, including cooking, garnishing, and plating dishes to high standards
• Manage kitchen operations during shifts, including inventory control and stock rotation
• Enforce strict food safety and hygiene regulations in compliance with health standards
• Train and mentor junior kitchen staff to enhance their skills and performance
• Collaborate with front-of-house teams to ensure smooth service delivery
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment at all times Requirements
• Proven experience within a professional kitchen environment
• Strong background in food production and preparation
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene management
• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively
• Experience working in a restaurant or hospitality setting
• Excellent organisational abilities with attention to detail in food presentation and quality control
• Ability to work under pressure during busy service periods
