Sous Chef

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to join our team in a supervisory role within our food production and hospitality environment. Duties

• Supervise and coordinate food production activities to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality output
• Lead and manage a team of kitchen staff, providing guidance, training, and support to foster a collaborative working environment
• Oversee food preparation and cooking processes, ensuring adherence to recipes, presentation standards, and safety regulations
• Maintain strict compliance with food safety standards and hygiene practices across all areas of the kitchen
• Assist with menu planning, ingredient sourcing, and inventory management to optimise resources
• Monitor staff performance, conduct appraisals, and facilitate ongoing training programmes
• Ensure customer satisfaction by maintaining high standards of service during meal service periods
• Support in organising catering events or special functions as required Skills
• Proven supervising experience within a food production or hospitality setting
• Extensive background in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen operations
• Strong leadership capabilities with the ability to manage teams effectively
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene management
• Experience in restaurant or catering environments with an understanding of customer service standards
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Good communication skills to liaise effectively with staff and suppliers
