Sous Chef

Overview Perdiswell Rose Care Home are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. As a key member of our culinary staff, you will assist in the preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes while ensuring that food safety and hygiene standards are upheld. This role is perfect for someone with a strong background in food preparation and a desire to grow within the hospitality industry.

Duties

• Assist the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations and supervising kitchen staff.
• Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards.
• Ensure all food safety regulations are adhered to, maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment.
• Help in the planning and execution of menus, taking into account seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
• Oversee food production processes, ensuring quality control at all stages.
• Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative team environment.
• Manage inventory levels, including ordering supplies as needed to maintain stock.
• Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery. Requirements
• Proven experience in a similar role within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
• Strong knowledge of food safety practices and culinary techniques.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• A passion for food and an eagerness to help create exceptional dining experiences.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong team management skills, with experience supervising kitchen personnel.
