Sous Chef

Overview We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will assist the Executive Chef in overseeing daily operations, managing food production, and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality. Responsibilities

• Assist the Executive Chef in supervising kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow and high standards of food preparation and presentation
• Oversee food production, ensuring consistency, quality, and timely delivery of dishes
• Manage daily kitchen operations during shifts, including coordinating team tasks and maintaining organisation
• Supervise food safety procedures in compliance with health regulations and company policies
• Support in developing new menu items and refining existing recipes to meet customer expectations
• Ensure all kitchen equipment is maintained properly and report any issues promptly
• Lead by example in serving customers when required, maintaining professionalism and excellent hospitality standards
• Train and mentor junior kitchen staff to foster a cohesive team environment Qualifications
• Proven supervising experience within a busy restaurant or hospitality setting
• Extensive culinary experience with strong skills in food preparation, cooking, and presentation
• Demonstrated team management abilities with leadership qualities that motivate staff
• Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations applicable to the hospitality industry
• Experience in food production, menu development, and maintaining high-quality service standards
• Familiarity with restaurant operations including serving procedures and customer interaction
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
