SOUS CHEF – EMBANKMENT BISTRO (MULTI-SITE ROLE), DARTMOUTH

We’re building something ambitious across our Dartmouth sites – Embankment Bistro, Crafty Mussel and Coastal Trail – and we’re now looking for a Sous Chef who’s ready to step into a key role within a growing, fast-paced kitchen operation.

This is more than just a single-site position. It’s an opportunity to be part of a wider team, supporting multiple kitchens, driving standards, and helping shape a consistent, high-quality food offering across the group.

THE ROLE

As Sous Chef, you’ll work closely with the senior team to support the day-to-day running of the kitchen. You’ll lead from the front during service, support across multiple sites when needed, and play a key role in maintaining standards, consistency, and team culture.

This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in a busy environment, enjoys responsibility, and takes real pride in delivering quality food.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

* Supporting the day-to-day running of the kitchen across multiple sites
* Leading service and ensuring smooth, efficient operations
* Maintaining high standards of food quality, consistency and presentation
* Supporting, motivating and developing junior chefs
* Managing prep, organisation and kitchen workflow
* Ensuring food safety, cleanliness and compliance standards are met
* Working closely with senior management to maintain and improve standards

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

* Experience as a Sous Chef or a strong Junior Sous ready to step up
* Confident leading a team in a fast-paced kitchen
* Passion for fresh food and quality ingredients
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
* A calm, solutions-focused approach under pressure
* Flexibility and willingness to support across multiple sites
* A positive, driven attitude and commitment to high standards

HOURS & PAY

* Full-time role
* Availability required across evenings and weekends
* Starting from £15 per hour
