Perfect Household Staff is delighted to present an excellent opportunity for a professional, punctual, and experienced Butler to join a formal yet welcoming private household based in Regent’s Park, with a planned relocation to St John’s Wood in March. The household consists of two adult principals and operates within a structured, high-standard environment supported by a full domestic team, including housekeepers, a laundress, a chef, and gardeners. This role is ideally suited to an accomplished Butler with strong silver service knowledge and confidence working within a fully staffed household.
Regent’s Park and St John’s Wood are among London’s most prestigious residential areas, offering elegant properties, green open spaces, and excellent transport links. This is a live-out position and is easily accessible by public transport, making it suitable for candidates commuting from across London. The role involves international travel throughout the year, during which the Butler will work alongside local staff in the principals’ private residences and support a busy schedule of formal dining and entertaining.
Working as a Butler in this role offers a highly professional and varied position, combining front-of-house service, staff coordination, and household oversight. Key responsibilities include formal table setting and silver service at every family meal, welcoming and attending to guests, overseeing the presentation and cleanliness of front-of-house and living areas, and liaising closely with contractors and household staff.
The Butler will also be responsible for stock ordering and inventory management, supervising the work of housekeepers, the laundress, and the chef, and taking an active role in overseeing the household relocation in March. A thorough understanding of formal household etiquette, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while collaborating within a professional team are essential.

Main Duties of the Butler:
Providing formal silver service at all family meals with correct dining etiquette
Formal table setting, serving, and guest hospitality during entertaining
Monitoring and maintaining spotless front-of-house and living areas
Supervising and coordinating household staff, including housekeepers, chef, and laundress
Liaising with contractors and managing household stock and inventories
Overseeing service standards during international travel
Supporting and overseeing the household relocation
Maintaining strict discretion and professional boundaries at all times
Requirements for this Part-Time Housekeeper:
Minimum of 5 years of private housekeeping experience
Two excellent, checkable references
Conversational level of English
Legal right to work in the UK
