Baker

As a member of our kitchen team you’ll be a valuable part of a team that thrives on the pressure of working in a busy food operation. You’ll work alongside our Chefs as part of a tight-knit team in an exciting, fast-moving environment, preparing fresh locally sourced ingredients.

We have a small menu with both hot and cold dishes for dine-in or takeaway – mostly centred around the rotisserie-roasted meat offerings but also including freshly baked bread, sandwiches, and desserts.

Duties

• Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
• Assist in the daily operations of the kitchen, including food preparation, cleaning and completing orders during service.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
• Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
• Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting any shortages to management. Requirements
• Proven experience as a cook in a restaurant or similar culinary environment is preferred.
• Experience with Rotisserie ovens is desirable.
• Experience with baking bread and desserts is desirable.
• Experience with completing orders for takeaway platforms such as Deliveroo.
• Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary skills.
• Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in the kitchen.
• Ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented atmosphere while maintaining high standards of quality.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask effectively during busy periods.
• A positive attitude, strong communication skills, and willingness to learn are essential for success in this role. The main kitchen opening times for dine-in customers will be 11pm-9pm which means that day time/morning availability is required for this role but no late nights!
