Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise kitchen staff to ensure efficient food production and service
• Prepare, cook, and present high-quality dishes in accordance with menu specifications and quality standards
• Manage daily kitchen operations, including inventory control, ordering supplies, and maintaining cleanliness
• Develop new recipes and menu items to keep offerings innovative and appealing
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times
• Oversee training programmes for junior staff to enhance skills and promote teamwork
• Collaborate with front-of-house teams to ensure seamless service delivery
• Monitor portion control and minimise waste to optimise operational efficiency Requirements
• Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment, preferably within hospitality or restaurant sectors
• Supervising experience with the ability to lead and motivate a team effectively
• Strong culinary skills with a comprehensive understanding of food preparation and cooking techniques
• Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in hygiene management
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Leadership qualities with a proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making
• Experience in food production, menu development, and restaurant operations is highly desirable
