Job Description We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Commis Chef to join our kitchen team. This is an entry-level role, ideal for someone looking to start or continue their career in a professional kitchen. People with previous kitchen experience are also very welcome to apply, but full training and support will be provided regardless of experience level.

You will work closely with senior chefs, supporting the kitchen during service while developing core culinary and kitchen skills in a busy, fast-paced pub environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation under the guidance of senior chefs
• Prepare vegetables, basic components, and ingredients as required
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and organisation
• Learn and follow food safety, hygiene, and health & safety procedures
• Support the team during service, including basic cooking and plating
• Assist with stock rotation and deliveries
• Work positively as part of a team to ensure smooth, efficient service Skills and Experience
• Interest in food and hospitality
• Willingness to learn and take direction
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Previous kitchen experience is an advantage but not essential This role offers hands-on training, support from experienced chefs, and clear opportunities for progression within the kitchen.
