Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the kitchen team, fostering a positive and productive working environment
• Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure consistency and quality
• Manage food production processes, including menu planning and ingredient sourcing
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness
• Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service delivery
• Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and control food costs effectively
• Develop new recipes and menu items to keep offerings innovative and appealing
• Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, promoting professional development and skill enhancement
• Maintain organisational standards for health and safety within the kitchen environment Requirements
• Proven supervising experience within a professional kitchen setting
• Extensive culinary experience with a strong background in food preparation and cooking techniques
• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively
• Solid understanding of food safety regulations and best practices in hospitality environments
• Previous experience working in a restaurant or hospitality setting is highly desirable
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure
