Head Chef

Overview We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head Chef to lead our kitchen team in delivering exceptional breakfast and lunch dishes. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, extensive culinary expertise, and a passion for creating innovative dishes. This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food quality, safety, and service are maintained at all times.

Working hours will be Wednesday-Sunday. Weekdays 6:30-2:30 and at weekends 8:00-3:30.

Duties

• Manage and supervise the running of the kitchen alongside a kitchen assistant and front of house, fostering a positive and productive working environment
• Oversee food production processes, ensuring consistency, presentation, and quality meet established standards
• Create new weekly specials
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of hygiene throughout the kitchen
• Organise and oversee food preparation and cooking activities to ensure timely delivery of dishes during service hours
• Monitor stock levels, place orders for ingredients, and manage inventory efficiently to minimise waste
• Collaborate with front-of-house teams to ensure seamless service delivery and guest satisfaction
• Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment in accordance with health and safety guidelines Experience
• Proven supervising experience within a professional kitchen environment, ideally as a Head Chef or Sous Chef in a reputable establishment
• Extensive food production experience across various cuisines, demonstrating versatility and creativity in menu development
• Strong team management skills with the ability to motivate and lead diverse culinary teams effectively
• Solid background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and culinary innovation
• Previous experience working in hospitality or restaurant settings with a focus on high-quality service standards
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene management
