Sous Chef

Job Overview We are seeking a talented and experienced Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. Duties

• Assist the Head Chef in planning and preparing menus, ensuring consistency and quality across all dishes
• Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff during service, providing guidance and support to ensure smooth operations
• Oversee food production processes, maintaining high standards of presentation and taste
• Manage food safety protocols, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations at all times
• Monitor stock levels, place orders, and manage inventory to minimise waste and control costs
• Contribute to the training and development of junior kitchen staff, fostering a positive team environment
• Ensure cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in accordance with hygiene standards
• Participate in the preparation of specialised dishes and assist with serving when necessary Skills
• Proven supervising experience within a busy kitchen environment
• Extensive culinary experience with a focus on food preparation and cooking techniques
• Strong leadership qualities with the ability to manage a team effectively
• Excellent knowledge of food safety standards and regulations
• Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is highly desirable
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure during peak hours
• Good organisational skills with attention to detail in food presentation and quality assurance
