Sous Chef Wanted – Asian Fusion Cuisine We are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable, and creative Sous Chef to support our kitchen operations and assist in delivering a vibrant Asian fusion menu. This role is ideal for a chef who is passionate about bold, authentic Asian flavours and eager to grow within a dynamic kitchen environment.

As Sous Chef, you will work closely with the Head Chef to help shape and deliver an exciting food offering. You’ll play a key role in maintaining high standards, supporting the team, and ensuring smooth day-to-day kitchen operations.

• Pay: £12.5–£15 per hour
• Location: St. Helens, Merseyside

About the Role:

You will assist in overseeing kitchen operations, supporting menu development, and ensuring consistent food quality during service. We are looking for someone with an interest in Asian cuisines such as Japanese, Thai, Korean, Chinese, and Southeast Asian, and a willingness to learn and contribute to a fusion-style concept.

This is a hands-on role that requires teamwork, organisation, and a strong work ethic. You will help ensure the kitchen runs efficiently while maintaining high standards during both busy and quieter periods.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations
• Assist with preparation and service of high-quality dishes
• Help maintain consistency in taste and presentation
• Supervise and support junior kitchen staff when required
• Ensure food hygiene and health & safety standards are followed
• Assist with stock control and minimise waste
• Contribute ideas for new dishes and menu improvements Requirements:
• Previous experience as a Sous Chef, Chef de Partie, or similar role
• Interest or experience in Asian cuisine or fusion cooking
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Good understanding of kitchen operations and food safety standards
