We are looking for a reliable and motivated Cook to join our Sodexo catering team, supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of a busy food service environment. You will play an important role in preparing and serving food and beverages to agreed standards, maintaining excellent food safety and hygiene practices, and delivering a professional customer experience. Working closely with the Chef Manager, you will support all areas of the catering operation, with full training and development provided.
What you’ll do:
– Prepare and serve food and beverages to required standards, delivering a professional customer experience
– Support the Chef Manager with daily kitchen operations, including online ordering and use of the EPOS system
– Maintain full compliance with HACCP, food safety, health & safety, uniform and presentation standards
– Assist across all areas of the catering operation as required, including vending machine maintenance and ad-hoc lone working weekend services
– Participate in site-based training, team meetings and adhere to all role, marketing and merchandising requirements
What you’ll bring:
– Proven experience as a Cook or within a busy catering environment, with strong food preparation and cooking skills
– Hold a relevantLevel 2 Catering / Professional Cookery qualification(or equivalent)
– Good working knowledge of food safety, hygiene and HACCP procedures
– Well organised with the ability to manage tasks effectively during busy services
– Confident working independently and as part of a team, with clear communication skills
