Head Chef

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Chef de Partie to manage a specific section of the kitchen and support the culinary team in delivering high-quality food consistently. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting dishes to the highest standards while maintaining excellent food safety, cleanliness, and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage a designated kitchen section (e.g., grill, sauté, pastry, larder, or hot line)
• Prepare, cook, and present dishes according to recipes and standards
• Ensure consistency, portion control, and quality in all food production
• Assist with mise en place and service preparation
• Supervise and guide Commis Chefs and junior team members
• Maintain high standards of food hygiene, safety, and cleanliness (HACCP compliant)
• Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering and inventory control
• Minimize waste and support cost control initiatives
• Ensure equipment is used correctly and maintained properly
• Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service
• Follow all company policies, health & safety, and food safety regulations Requirements
• Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or strong Commis Chef ready to step up
• Solid knowledge of cooking techniques and kitchen operations
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Understanding of food safety and sanitation standards
• Team player with good communication skills
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Culinary qualification or relevant training preferred Skills & Competencies
