We are looking for a talented and creative Pastry Chef to join our busy garden centre café. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about baking and enjoys working in a relaxed, customer-focused environment.

You’ll be responsible for producing a range of high-quality, freshly baked cakes, pastries, and desserts that complement our café offering and delight our customers.

Responsibilities of Pastry Chef

• Prepare and bake a variety of cakes, traybakes, scones, pastries, and desserts daily
• Ensure all products are presented to a high standard
• Manage stock levels, ordering, and ingredient rotation
• Maintain a clean, organised, and compliant kitchen environment
• Work closely with the café team to meet customer demand, especially during busy periods

About you

• Previous experience as a Pastry Chef, Baker, or similar role
• Passion for baking with strong attention to detail
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced front facing environment
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
• A creative approach to menu development
• Good time management and organisational skills
