Location: AC Marriott Belfast As Junior Sous Chef, you’ll take on a key leadership role within the kitchen, supporting the Sous Chef and Head Chef in delivering a high-quality, well-run food operation.
Who are we?
Aimbridge Hospitality EMEA is part of the global Aimbridge Hospitality brand — the world’s largest third-party hotel management company. We work with many of the industry’s leading brands, including Hilton, IHG, Accor and Marriott, connecting great people with memorable guest experiences across diverse locations.
Driven by a genuinely people-first approach, we’re proud of the inclusive culture we’ve built and the development opportunities we create for our teams.
The opportunity You’ll be hands-on in the kitchen, responsible for preparing, cooking and presenting dishes to a consistently high standard, while also supporting the supervision and development of Demi Chef de Parties and Commis Chefs. You’ll help guide the team during service, ensuring standards, pace and quality are maintained at all times.
Beyond service delivery, you’ll contribute to menu development, support portion and waste control, and help balance creativity with cost awareness to protect profit margins. Food safety, cleanliness and organisation will be second nature to you, and you’ll lead by example when it comes to health and safety compliance and best practice.
This is a brilliant opportunity for an ambitious chef ready to broaden their leadership responsibilities and continue building toward a senior kitchen role.
What we’re looking for You’ll bring strong technical cooking skills and a solid understanding of ingredients, flavours and kitchen techniques. Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, you’ll remain calm under pressure and confident in directing others during busy service periods.
You’ll be organised, able to delegate effectively and committed to maintaining a clean, safe and well-structured kitchen environment. A working understanding of food cost control and profit margins is essential, enabling you to support a commercially successful kitchen.
Most importantly, you’ll share our passion for delivering an exceptional guest experience and consistently living our brand standards.
