Sous Chef

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in assisting the Head Chef with daily kitchen operations, supervising food preparation, and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality. Duties

• Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff during service, ensuring smooth operations and adherence to schedules
• Oversee food production, ensuring dishes are prepared to specification and presented attractively
• Lead food preparation activities, including cooking, garnishing, and plating of dishes
• Maintain strict compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards
• Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and ensure proper storage of ingredients
• Train and mentor junior kitchen staff to enhance their skills and performance
• Collaborate with front-of-house teams to ensure seamless service delivery
• Monitor kitchen cleanliness and organisation throughout shifts Qualifications
• Proven supervising experience within a busy kitchen environment
• Extensive food production and culinary experience, ideally within a restaurant or hospitality setting
• Strong team management skills with the ability to motivate staff under pressure
• Excellent knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and presentation standards
• Sound understanding of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene management
• Previous experience in restaurant operations or similar hospitality roles is highly desirable
• Leadership qualities with the ability to oversee multiple tasks efficiently
• Good communication skills to effectively liaise with team members and management

• Pay: £13.20-£13.50 per hour
• Expected hours: No less than 35.0 per week
